Set in the picturesque Southern Highlands, Briars offers a relaxed atmosphere. The Lodge contains 31 suites. Each has a guest lounge with open fireplace and conservatory for conferences and special occasions, all with rural views of the lake and the farmland beyond. Their fully appointed suites consist of six twin rooms and 25 double rooms, all with additional double sofa bed, separate dressing room and a bathroom with a bath. The split level sitting room leads to the outside terrace through French doors opening onto extensive gardens and the lake. The historic Georgian (c.1845) Inn has a true country atmosphere and is a favourite haunt of locals, with its intimate guest bars, open fires and contemporary food. Two private dining rooms are available. The seasonal menu has something for everyone, light meals, seafood and of course the famous Briars steaks! All accompanied by an array of fresh local produce.
