The Goulburn War Memorial was built by public conscription in 1924 as a lasting tribute to the gallant men of Goulburn and the District who served in World
War 1. Inside the tower is a tablet inscribed with the names of those who enlisted from the District. The lookout gallery at the top of the memorial provides
spectacular views over the city of Goulburn and it's surrounding environment.
The valuable collection of artefacts allocated in the city of Goulburn after World War 1 is now housed in the adjacent cottage. The local history room
displays Goulburn's association with, and contribution to the two World Wars. Each object tells a unique story, of survival, mateship and the history of
warfare.
