The Barrenjoey Headland stands across Pittwater from the main park section and just north of Palm Beach. From Barrenjoey Lighthouse you can look back on Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Broken Bay, or up and down the coastline north of Sydney.
The Barranjoey Lighthouse was the third light on the headland and was completed in 1881. The Lighthouse and Keepers Quarters are located on Barrenjoey Headland which connects to Governor Phillip Park by a sand isthmus.
Visitors to the Barrenjoey Headland are drawn to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Barrenjoey Lighthouse runs tours of the Lighthouse every Sunday (weather permitting) between 11.00am and 3.00pm. No bookings required.
Barrenjoey Lighthouse is accessible only by rough walking track.
