The Crab and Oyster Cruise is a seafood experience like no other. Your party will join local fishermen on a cruise along the beautiful Hawkesbury River, where you will gain unique knowledge of Australian Oyster and Crab Farming in the interactive, educational and entertaining show. During the cruise you will experience firsthand how the locals farm and harvest oysters and the best way to catch and handle live crabs. The fisherman will then demonstrate the perfect way to prepare the fresh catch for the forthcoming seafood feast. The Crab and Oyster Cruise launches from Kangaroo Point Wharf in Brooklyn, approximately one hour from Sydney city or 30 minutes from Gosford. Subject to numbers, cruises run Thursday through to Sunday, with the Sunday Lunch Cruise being the most popular. Lunch Cruises start at 11.30am and the cruise returns to the wharf at 2pm. Cruises are subject to minimum numbers and private charters can be organised for numbers greater than 20 people. The boat is licensed and lunch includes oysters, blue swimmer crab, prawns, barbecued fish, salad, bread roll followed by a taste of mud crab.
