Gledswood Homestead is a unique collection of colonial buildings, nestled amid rolling pastures in the Macarthur district and dating back to 1810. Set on 64 hectares, Gledswood Homestead is a grand convict-built sandstone home. It was originally owned by the Chisholms, an early pioneering family. Visitors can relive the history and grandeur of a bygone era with a guided tour. You will savour the atmosphere, with tales of bushrangers, convicts, the pioneering life and the resident ghosts! Enjoy lunch at the Country Restaurant, take a tour of the historic buildings or enjoy a glass of wine in the convict-built Coach House. Gledswood specialises in country weddings, special family occasions, work parties, kids' birthday parties, conferences, senior citizens' daytrips, school excursions, Christmas parties and Lantern Light Ghost Tour Dinners. International guests can experience a great Aussie barbecue and get a glimpse of colourful Australian history!
