The aim of the Shakespeare by the Sea company is to present Shakespeare�s work as he intended - it by making it accessible, entertaining and with the respect it deserves but the irreverence it can afford. The company is also a chance to see some of the brightest new talent on the theatrical scene, mixing with some of the most experienced. This season Shakespeare by the Sea will feature �Romeo and Juliet� and �Measure for Measure.� This is a very informal event, so just bring a rug to sit on, perhaps a picnic dinner and then settle back to enjoy an evening of Shakespeare. The 2009 season begins on January 16 and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until March 6. There is no admission price but at the end of the show we ask the audience for a donation.
