The Imperial is a landmark building in Broken Hill, circa 1906. The handsome grey stone building has been converted into an elegant four and a half star guest house. Great care has been taken to give The Imperial guest rooms a home away from home feeling.
There is a guest kitchenette at the end of the passage looking out over the gardens. Downstairs is the guest lounge with original pressed metal ceiling, comfortable chairs and an open fire. The former front bar now houses a full sized billiard table. Outside is a walled courtyard garden leading to the salt water, solar heated tiled pool encased by the original stable walls and looking for all the world like a piece of Tuscany (a bit like the weather). This is the way to live. A gentler way. A way to feel at home in fine Broken Hill Hotel accommodation in the heart of Australia.
