With its magnificent secluded coastline, clean water, clear air and unhurried pace, a visit to Bay of Plenty Lodges, reached after a 13 kilometre drive through the rainforests of Booderee (Jervis Bay) National Park, provides a rare escape from the stresses of modern life. The sound of the ocean replaces the noise of traffic, native wildlife abounds as kangaroos hop through the grounds and native parrots skim through trees, the backdrop is of forest not buildings. Bay of Plenty Lodges offers stylish 1, 2 & 3 bedroom self contained cottages, cabins and units ranging from comfortable to luxurious, all fully equipped including linen, bath towels, cutlery and crockery and all opening onto shaded private courtyards, most with views over landscaped grounds. Accommodation is self catering and facilities include a central BBQ area and childrens playground as well as direct beach access and a boat ramp. Individual lodging is available for as few as two people and as many as six, at tariffs to suit most budgets. Bay of Plenty Lodges derives its name from the Aboriginal word 'Booderee' meaning 'bay of plenty' or 'plenty of fish' and is surrounded by Booderee National Park, a place of great history and contrast, offering the opportunity for many recreational activities in a magnificient unspoilt setting. Towering sandstone coastal cliffs guard eucalypt and rainforests from the awesome might of the ocean, tranquil waterways are a short walk through coastal heath from surfing beaches. While Bay of Plenty Lodges can be used as a base to explore the historic surrounding districts, its relaxed atmosphere and tranquil beachfront location surrounded by national park lead most guests to enjoy the simple pleasures of swimming, bushwalking, boating, reading and in the evening meeting fellow guests at the central barbeque facilities. Put simply, just relaxing! All within an easy drive.....
