Located on the Stuart Highway 150 kilometres south of Darwin, Hayes Creek Wayside Inn was built before Word War II and offers budget motel and caravan/camping accommodation. The caravan park, in a valley beside the inn, is in a peaceful setting among shady trees with birds, butterflies, green lawns, a new swimming pool and a natural spring flowing along the base of the escarpment. Trees entwine their foliage over the shallow, sandy based waters, making a lovely spot for a dip, or to just sit in the shade and listen to the trickling waters and birds. Hayes Creek Wayside Inn is part of the Northern Goldfield Loop with easy access to Litchfield National Park, Batchelor, Pine Creek and the Tjuwaliyn (Douglas) Hot Springs Park.
