Travellers Rest is about 100 kilometres north of Mackay. Set on 60 hectares of semi-tropical forest, the park is well shaded under the large canopy. The beach is only a short walk away and offers hours of fishing, walks and fossicking. They also have three bush walks on the property, one leading to the lagoon where there are many species of water birds. The whole area is a haven for bird watchers and other wildlife abounds. Complimentary morning tea scones served occasionally. Travellers Rest has five cabins and ample caravan and camping sites.
