Tambo Caravan Park is the perfect stopover to reach the big tourist attractions at Longreach or fishing in the Gulf. It is a small owner park with drive through powered sites and free laundry. The Tambo Caravan Park is reasonably close to shops in one Central Queensland's Friendliest Towns, Tambo. The grassy, shady van and camp sites lookout over the open Mitchell grass plains where often kangaroo's or emus can be seen in the evenings. Walk around town on the Heritage Trail or close to town on the Coolibah Trail on the Barcoo River. A 320 kilometre round trip will lead to the Salvator Rosa section of Carnarvon Gorge National Park. All are welcome to join the locals in a game of tennis, golf or bowls. Pets under control are welcome.
