Set on a hill overlooking the township of Lobethal in the beautiful Onkaparinga valley, Fairyland Village is an enjoyable walk through a bushland park suited to grandparents and children alike. A walking trail winds its way past 17 small huts, each containing a life size display of one of the classic fairytales like snow white, the three little pigs and sleeping beauty. Each display is presented in a setting of antiques and memorabilia with a story board for parents to read to their children. There are deer and kangaroo on the outer fence lines, peacocks, geese and pheasants in the bird enclosure and Rum our sulphur-crested cockatoo to greet you as you pass by. Bring a picnic or enjoy a Devonshire tea at the kiosk.
