The Ceduna Golf Club was founded in 1928 and from the club's humble early nine hole beginnings, the course has now blossomed into a semi-grassed 18 holes. The fairways are couch grass from around the sand scrapes to approximately 100 to 150 metres down the fairway. All ladies and men's tee blocks are lawn and this is very rare for the Eyre Peninsula as rainfall is not usually very high. The course is playable all year round but seems to be at its best from April to December. January and February can be extremely hot. The course is Par 72 with Par 36 in and out. It is only an average length, with the Par fours being relatively short. Club competitions are held on Wednesdays for the ladies and Sundays for the men, with visitors most welcome, except during rounds of championships. Club House facilities include a fully licensed bar which is open Wednesdays and Sundays. All golf equipment can be purchased or hired from the club and showers are available in the case of being rained on, which is not very often. The Public Sand Greens are open seven days a week. The club is open Wednesday night and Sunday during playing season of April to October.
