The Eyre Peninsula stretches 1000km from Whyalla in the east to the Western Australian border, and 400 km from the Gawler Ranges in the north to Port Lincoln in the south. The region is known for its 2000km of ruggedly beautiful coastline however, vast desert plains, the Gawler Ranges and a hinterland of golden grain are a fascinating contrast to towering cliffs and sandy bays. The wildlife, like the landscape, is unique from whales and wombats to wedgetail eagles.
