Brickendon Historic and Farm Cottages offer self-contained cottages in the historic Tasmanian town of Longford. Brickendon has been owned and farmed by the descendants of William Archer since 1824. The Coachman�s Historic Cottage has two storeys, with a queen-size and twin beds upstairs and a double bed on the ground floor. The Gardener�s Historic Cottage has one queen-size bed and a fold-out bed in the living room. There is a single, double and double sofa bed in The Pumpkin Farm Cottage. The Sweet Corn Farm Cottage has two bedrooms with one queen, one double, bunk beds and one double sofa bed. Peas in a Pod Farm Cottage has two single or one king-size bed and a fold-out bed. Each is furnished to reflect the period. All cottages are self-contained and breakfast provisions are provided. Explore the 19th century scented gardens and watch the daily workings of a contemporary farm. The farm and village are perfect for cycling, or you can borrow a fishing rod and catch you dinner in the nearby river. Today, Brickendon Farm produces various crops including poppies, grass seeds, barley, wheat oats, triticale and vegetables. Longford is a 20-minute drive southwest of Launceston (25 kilometres/15 miles).
