Arties is situated on three acres of native vegetation and setback from the road and is also home to a range of resident wildlife; wallabies, possums, Tasmanian Devils � Arties is located next to the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area and is a perfect base for relaxation or exploration of the region. Surf at Green Point, slide to the bottom of a unique sinkhole at Dismal Swamp Visitors Centre, visit the aboriginal area at Mt Cameron, cruise or bushwalk in the Arthur/Pieman Conservation Area and be spellbound by the isolated Southern Ocean beaches. Local activities include rock and surf fishing, surfing, Kings Run Tasmanian Devil/Wildlife Tours, Arthur River Boat Cruises, canoeing, river/estuary and surf fishing, off road wilderness exploration (permits available), visiting unspoilt rainforest and viewing the abundant native wildlife.
