The City of Stonnington is once again proud to present Opera in the Park, a free twilight concert on Saturday 7 February at 6.30pm at Victoria Gardens, High Street, Prahran. Led by Conductor Rick Prakhoff and Artistic Director Cameron Menzies, Opera in the Park will offer two hours of entertainment not only to Opera devotees, but for those who are new to the art form. One of the City of Stonnington s premier events, Opera In the Park is set to be an elegant, emotive and most of all "Enchanted" evening bringing to life the music of Mozart, Delibes, Bizet, Rossini and Puccini. This year Opera in the Park presents sublime music performed by some of Melbourne's leading performers including special guest artist Sally-Anne Russell (a principal mezzo soprano with Opera Australia) as well as performances from Nicole Car, Melanie Adams, Jacob Caine and Phillip Calcagno. It offers a great chance to picnic with friends, family and neighbours while enjoying an evening of opera in the picturesque surrounds of Victoria Gardens.
