Carawine Gorge is a little known recreation spot, popular with the Marble Bar locals, as well as visitors who dont mind getting off the beaten track. Swim in the crystal clear water, try your hand at fishing or just sit back and admire the abundant birdlife. Camp on the bank of this spectacular gorge and take your time to explore the amazing rock formations. Be impressed with the beautiful quartz and vibrantly coloured rocks which are spread far and wide around the gorge. Admire the sheer limestone wall which drops imposingly into the clear water below, and be sure to have your camera handy at sunrise and sunset to capture the changing hues, as the light bounces off the beautiful backdrop. Carawine Gorge is a half a day drive South East of Port Hedland via Marble Bar.
