This lovely sheltered cove is a popular swimming and picnic spot. Barbecue facilities are provided. The cove is located on the Burrup Peninsula between Karratha and Dampier and is a good location to see the 'Stairway to the Moon' between the months of May through to October. This is a phenonomen caused by the full moon reflecting off the exposed mudflats at extremely low tides, to create a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase leading to the moon.
