This popular picnic and swimming spot is located in the Millstream-Chichester Range National Park, on the Roebourne/Wittenoom Road, 78 kilometres from North West Coastal Highway turn-off, 28 kilometres East of Roebourne. We suggest that you always check road conditions with the local Visitor Information Centre before visiting. Take on the Chichester Range Camel Trail. An 8-kilometre, 3-hour one-way Heritage Trail. It crosses the rugged sandstone, following part of the old camel road linking Mt Herbert and Python Pool. Walking/Hiking shoes are required and always carry plenty of water. The Roebourne/Wittenoom Road leading to Python Pool also leads to Wittenoom which is heavily contaminated with blue asbestos and should be avoided.
