Situated on the old coast road, 11 kilometres from Bunbury, is this interesting monument which commemorates the unsuccessful settlement of the area in 1841, by a band of pioneers led by Marshall Waller Clifton.
The Western Australian company planned one of the most ambitious settlement projects in Australian history. Unfortunately the scheme failed due to lack of funds.
