Boyanup Museum is an outstanding transport museum which is home to a vast collection of vintage cars, trains and farm machinery. Train enthusiasts will be impressed by the Leschenault Lady steam engine that is over 110 years old and is still used to pull the vintage train.
Visit the fascinating working blacksmiths shop, which takes a step back in time to demonstrate how the blacksmiths operated back in the pioneer days. This interesting display includes a demonstration of the use of hand operated bellows. Also worth visiting is the historic farm machinery display which has continued to grow in size over the years.
Boyanup is located just north of Donnybrook and only two and a half hours drive south of Perth. In the heart of apple country, the region is made up of beautiful forests and rivers, vineyards and of course orchards. Conveniently located a short one hour drive from the Margaret River region, Boyanup is a charming town to visit.
