A unique Blackwood River Valley experience with tastings and sales available seven days a week from the factory door. There is also a viewing window to watch the cheese-makers in action and a range of cheese facts and myths displayed on the sales room walls to inform, delight and amaze visitors - you may be surprised to learn how many kilograms of cheese an average Australian eats each year.
The company produces more than 15 varieties of cheeses on site from locally sourced milk and utilises traditional production techniques with all of the products carefully crafted by hand. All products are free from preservatives and contain vegetarian friendly, non animal rennet. Choose from their range of salt reduced fettas, creamy Edam and Gouda as well as tasty cheddars. Natural flavours added to enhance the cheeses include chilli, cracked black pepper, sun dried tomatoes, olives, herbs and garlic.
The flavours are inspired by the passions and flavours of cheese making regions from all over the world as well as from the enthusiastic suggestions of local customers and factory visitors. There are always limited release products to try and buy exclusively direct from the factory.
The business is family owned and operated and is situated 16 kilometres from Balingup's town centre along the picturesque Balingup Nannup tourist drive. The property also has lush picnic areas, nursery animals to pat and feed, a variety of walk tracks through the native bushland and around the Blackwood River as well as affordable, self contained accommodation cottages that sleep up to eight people.
